With I turn on the machine it gives an E5-01 code and then an E4-10 immediately thereafter. I've never had a copier give an E5-01 code before and I'm not sure what the service manual means by Vp (+24V, printer). Maybe a problem with voltage somewhere? Any advice is appreciated and thanks in advance!

Re: 6020 E5-01 and E4-10
SB-19-E5-01_Interlock_Switch_Failure-(M-0206i)__DP-3520_4520_6020.pdfA couple of things come to mind. First there is a known problem (bulletin attached) on E5-01 codes. As for the E4-10 code, are you sure its a 10 and not a E4-01? If its an E4-01, I would be looking at the interlock area of the front door. This interlock assy is used by the front door and the exit door on the left side of the machine. Hope this helps. Keep us posted. -

This is a machine used in our copycenter so I checked the wires in both paper trays really quickly and didn't see any visible damage but I left them unplugged and turned on the machine and it warmed up and made a copy from the bypass tray without a problem. No E5-01 or E4-10 (I double-checked and that was the code I was having). It's the end of my day so I'll check them more thoroughly tomorrow to try and find the fray.
Thanks for the help!!!Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.

Re: 6020 E5-01 and E4-10
E5-01 means there is 24v missing from the SPC board. E4-10 is cooling fan 1. This is the fan directly in front of the fuser next to the interlock. The SPC pwb feeds voltage to the DRV pwb, which powers that fan. E5-01 is almost always a bad SPC.

Re: 6020 E5-01 and E4-10
I knew the E4-10 code was for the fuser fan but I thought I'd mention it in case it was significant that these two codes where happening at the same time.
I checked the wires in the feed section and couldn't find any spots where the wire casing was worn through. I added some electrical tape for extra insulation as the bulletin suggested and there hasn't been any problems with the machine all day so far. Before I messed with the feed sections, the machine would code every time on start-up so I'm pretty sure the problem had something to do with the wires in the feed section as the bulletin suggested.
Thanks again everyone for the responses!Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
