    [Error Code] panasonic FP-7818

    Hi good day, i have this machine by mark Panasonic FP-7818 that is giving this error code ( U0 )AND (E340 )When you put the machine on, The machine will boat normally then it is about to be ready it will show the codes above. please can some one help me with the solution i will be grateful. Thanks.

      Uo is insert key counter or user code nedds input. For E340 try cleaning drum sensor. This is all I know. I do not have the service manual for this one. Very old. Try Paul at www.justmanuals.com . He more than likely has the manual. Good price as well.

              For the E3-40 code check the ID sensor under the drum to see if it has toner on it. Possible causes are cleaning blade flip, toner support mylar defect or defective drum or sensor. U0 is the key counter so check service program F5-42 to see if it is set to 0. Good luck!

                  Though E3-40 is a drum density sensor error code, most of the time E3-40 is caused by a worn out toner seal that lets toner drop down on density sensor. solution: replace toner seal on the cleaning unit.

                      U0= dept code activated, to deactivate, enter service mode by pressing and holding "user preset",
                      then press and hold "original size" then press #3 on keypad while holding down the user preset and original
                      size keys. select F5 press start, enter 42 press start, then select "NO".
                      the E3-40 code is a toner density code, but is usually caused by a bad toner seal leaking toner on
                      the density sensor.
