    DP-C405 transfer belt

I'm a Mita tech so not sure on what I can do to reset "replace transfer belt" on a Pansonic DP-C405. Any help would be appreciated!

The service mode is selected when “Function”, “Copy”, and “3” keys are simultaneously pressed,
“Input the password” to enter the Service Mode (default password is 00000000, except for C322/
C262 which do not require a password), then F1 will appear in the display.

I believe F8-29 resets the belt counter.

        Good Luck!

Hold on a second, that's for the C354 series. May be similar to a C405 but I'm not sure (probably is). Sorry, I've had a long day.

User Name is correct. F8-29 will reset the belt. There are 2 PM cycles, 120K and 240K. The 120K is for the STR unit, Fuser belt unit, Belt cleaning unit. We do not perform these since they will 99% of the time go 240K. When they display a message you can just reset these. Usually when the belt unit, main fuser unit displays to be replaced, it normally time for the 240K PM. This one you will want to do. I recommend getting the PM kit vs individual parts. Major cost difference. This machine will run PM to PM. Developers are @ 480K and feed rollers (ADF and paper trays) @ 240K. F7 will show you counts per item. Hope this helps. I would strongly recommend a service manual for this machine. I have been servicing copiers before color was available and always find a need for the manual. Also, when you do the belt unit, be very careful when removing the little white clips on the 4 rollers (FTR) under the belt. They are very fragile. You can brake them. Without them your done.
