This has happened a couple of times. Customer turns off/on and all is well. I looked to see how the developer unit is sensed by the machine. Can't seem to find it. Saw how to check the developer set sensor in F4. But where is it. Looked in the parts book with no luck. Can anyone tell me exactly how it is detected? I do not see a sensor of any kind. The machine is running right now, so I have not been back out, but would like to resolve the issue.

The only time I've seen this code is when I forgot to plug the developer back in after taking out the unit. Never had a case of it showing up intermittently though. If you haven't already, I would check the connector on the developer unit to make sure that it's seated properly and that there aren't any wire casings worn through.
