    Toner adhered to drum

I have many 30XX, 23XX, 8025, and 8032 that recently have toner adhered to the drum. Copy quality is not really streaking but the print looks a little fuzzy with slight background. If you rubbed the print with a little pressure, you can rub some off. I clean the drum with alcohol and it comes off, but the print quality does not change. Looks like its not toning properly. This just started about December. Has anyone ever experienced this before?

If you use third party toner (we do and it has a blue cap unlike the Panasonic green) it eats the charge roller frequently. Make sure you are doing the F8 setups when changing drum and DV.
You can also clean the two density sensors in the right door, the ones under the silver plate. If these get dirty the drum tends not to clean so well and residual toner stays on the drum causing a fuzzy image.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

Thanks Mojo. The dev looks overtoned. I normally clean the sensors every time I see a machine. We use the same toner you use. On the charge rollers, I end up having to clean them for lines, marks, etc.. about half way thru the life cycle. One thing I don't do is replace the cleaning roller for the charge roller. I do vacuum them though. On a few I have seen where the material on the charge cleaning roller has pits in them where I can see the shaft. Have you seen this cause a problem? I have been backing down the toner in F6-21 about (-3) each visit to see if that helps. Too soon to tell just yet.

If you are able to rub toner off the page, I would be checking the fuser, not the drum.
        Hope this helps
