[Misc] Panasonic Fax UF 7200 Fax

This machine is faxing out OK (It is only used to fax out) but it will not print a journal page. It has the message *Printing Com* Journal and that stays on the display....
When I unplug and plug the machine in it will boot up and shoot out a blank page w/*printing com* Journal page on the display... It also shows at times 25% on the display.

Thinking a memory problem... Any help really appreciated...

I would try clearing out the fax memory. It has been a LONG time since I've been in the service mode for one of these but I have some notes written down on how I think you get into the fax service mode.

    1. Enter the fax mode
    2. Press the function key
    3. Go to the 7th listing in the function mode (I can't remember which menu item that is)
    4. Press the monitor key 4 times
    5. Press the * (asterisk/star) key

This should get you into the fax service mode and there should be a an "All Job Clear" somewhere in there. That may fix it or it may not but it's worth a try. Sorry if that's not clear enough or doesn't work but I'm going off old notes and faint memories. Good Luck.
Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you.
    O.o

I didn't think I had a service manual for one of these but I was wrong.

Here's the page for the fax service mode and the All Job Clear should be under 06 RAM initialize.

      doc00573420140318091404.pdf

Edit: Oh wait. This is for a UF-7000. I have my models confused. I haven't worked on a UF-7200 before so, I may be completely off the ball with this one but if this UF-7200 is similar to the 7000, it should be the same procedure I would think.

Well Shoot, I was going down the trail of thinking that I needed to re-load or update the firmware. I am not a dealer so I couldn't get the firmware and ended up having them calling a dealer. I sure do appreciate your help though !!!

Referred them to a specialist, eh? I wish I could do that from time to time. hehe

Based off your description, on a another Panasonic with that issue I would have done the all job clear because it can solve squirrely issues and it doesn't cause any harm other then getting rid of any faxes stored in memory.
