    Panasonic DP-C264

    Hi Guys,
I have very little experience...OK, I have NO experience with this machine. My customer has complained about a "green line." I assumed they had a bad drum blade, but it doesn't appear to be. The line doesn't drag across the page. (Like a bad blade would.) the line just appears in the image area.

    I have attached two samples.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Clean the optics. They are very prone to the smallest pieces of dust on the mirrors and/or slit glass.
    or
Use the laser glass cleaning rod located in the front door
    or
Run individual colors C,M,Y and see if one of the drums has a line

I just had the same thing happened to me last week on a yellow drum, the line came from the drum.

        Hi Rick,

Did your line stop at the image, or did it run into the void areas? Thanks

It could also be a rotational mark on the charge roller, maybe not bad enough to create a line across the page, but enough that it's noticeable through the printed image. I've been successful cleaning charge rollers with a little simple green on a cloth. Make sure to get all of the lint from the cloth and any dust off the charge roller or you'll get repeating dots on the page.
