Getting a check scanner code E01-01. And sometimes I get black copies before the code comes up. Looks like the scanner is not under the read glass when it happens. Can anyone tell me what's causing this? Scanner motor?

Re: Panasonic DP190 scanner code
The scanner isn't in the right place when scanning from ADF. It's parked to the right of the read glass. Eventually it gets off so much that when it scans the glass, it runs into the right side of the machine, then goes into code. So it's something to do with the drive of the scanner. I don't see how the CCD would have any affect on this issue, but I've been wrong before. I'm hoping to hear from someone who has tackled this problem and knows exactly what the cause is. Thanks for responding...Comment

Re: Panasonic DP190 scanner code
Suspects are: scanner home position sensor, scanner motor, scanning mechanism defective, SPC PCB, LVPS (low voltage power supply).
Can you manually move the scanner to home position and then all the way to the right? Checking to see if something may be hindering it.Comment

Re: Panasonic DP190 scanner code
If it is slamming into the frame, the home position sensor is definitely not working properly.
From what I remember, the lamp, home position sensor and adf cover sensor are the only items available in F4 service mode. I would check the home position sensor.
Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!Comment
