kv-s5055c scanner multi feeding

Not exactly a copier but perhabs some one can help. It is a scanner only 2 months old that keeps multi feeding. Its OK on fresh new paper but really not that good on old/ previously stapled pages. Its got self adjustable sep ass'y but it doesn't seam to work as every 2-4 sheets it multi feeds . hope some one can help.

These scanners are meant to scan non-damaged paper.
If it was stapled separate the sheets before scanning where the holes are as by the staple the paper is pressed together there.
Also regular cleaning of feed AND transport rollers are vital on these machines. Clean them until you get black/grey dirt on the cloth. The white transport rollers has to be cleaned also. Mind that you have them both above and under the paper along the paper-path.
If you have the edge of the paper thorn (bills etc) turn the paper with the solid side towards feed.
Light or thin paper will cause issues also if not set up properly at paper type.
