    [Misc] scanning with smb on ricoh mpc 4500 5000 windows 10

    can anyone help

    i have several machines mpc 4500 and mpc 5000 an my clients have upgraded to windows 10 and scanning stopped working...
    connection test comes back as successful, but when they try to scan it fails.
    i have enabled smb v1 on powershell but still no joy..
    the machines have the firmware upgraded until windows 7...
    is there any workaround? or is there an upgrade..
    any help would be appreciated.

      I think it's waaaaaay to soon to expect support for Windows 10 at this point.

      Maybe find a Win 7 box (or better yet, a server) on the network and scan to it. Then share them out from there.

      Microsoft doesn't exactly ask MFP vendors "if it's OK" to make changes.

          windows 10 works like windows 8
          you have to upgrade firmware (network)

              Agreed, you need to update the NIB firmware to the latest version to work with the new SMB protocol found in win 8 and now win 10. GL

                  my MFP can not scan folder / Public with WIN 8, i updated FW and scan ok.
                  yon can find FW at http://firmware2000.blogspot.com
