    MPC4501

I have an MPC4501 that will not print from the NIC card but it will print from the USB. The printer shows as being offline.

    The NIC is enabled(5985-001).
    I can ping it.
    User codes are not installed.
The job never gets to the machine and the data light never flashes.
There is not an IP conflict.
    802.11 is not turned on.
The machine is in our shop and I have used 2 known good cables.
When I try to use WIM I get "Error 403 forbidden".
I cleared SP 5801-008 the printer application.

The machine does have Data Overwrite installed but I don't think that has anything to do with it.

I am out of ideas any help would be appreciated.

Access range set? if so it will show up on the config page under the interface information section.
if you can telnet into the machine access flush will clear the access range. id also try a set web up to see if that helps with the 403 error and the wim

I agree with you, have this problem a hundred times, if you doesn't have the knowledge to do this with telnet, you can put a PC inside the range described at bottom of config page, you will be able to print and access the WIM. after you be able to login at WIM, go to configuration/access control and change the range or put 0.0.0.0 in all options to make every IP able to print.
