Re: Ricoh SPC830DN Colour Drum
The product support guide lists the pcu as unique. So Ricoh says that you need that specific c830 drum. I don't have any of those printers in my area so I can't visually compare but there are 2 parts you can order. One will be an EDP code from the product support guide that would be a complete drum and dev for a customer replaceable part or the part number from the parts manual in which will be just the drum part not including the dev. Should be a big cost difference between the two. -
Re: Ricoh SPC830DN Colour Drum
You do realise if you purchase a colour kit for the 830 you receive C,M and Y both drum and dev units together, so you can use the cyan one and keep the other 2 as spare.
Ultimately replace all 3 and you wont have to go back again for a long timeComment

Re: Ricoh SPC830DN Colour Drum
Hi, I have now had to bite the bullet and buy the colour drum unit, but as said before it does then come as a set of 3 units, so ill replace my cyan one as is marked and keep the other 2 for another time.
thanks for your help though guys.Comment

Re: Ricoh SPC830DN Colour Drum
I would personally change all 3 and this way save 2 more calls. This would also give a more satisfied costumer. Please start you post with brand, model, problem.Comment

Re: Ricoh SPC830DN Colour Drum
As you guessed you'll bite the bullet then get your answer. If it's the same as the c5502, then you can use the D0292256 drum. You just have to swap 2 wires (with the connector facing you & the pin tabs facing up, it's the 2 wires on the left side) & snip off the pin below the toner pump.Comment
