error code sc440 what is the most commonly found problem?

I have never had this code myself but it is a main motor lock. Motors dont typically go out in the ricohs so I would look at the PCU itself. The PCU in this machine is the OPC belt and the image transfer belt so maybe one of those is binding up somehow. Im not sure if the main motor drives the cleaning unit or not as well but I would also make sure the cleaning unit on top of the belt is not crammed full of toner and causing an issue. Good Luck
