Define corporate BS... British Ricoh tech ereIt's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

the pay increase freeze and not going to be able to get another raise for another 6 months.. It's been almost two years since they've gotten a raise.. I feel sorry for them...
They are making them get corporate cars and they said that none of them can have passengers, which I can understand for liability reasons, but there are a couple who have kids and they use their cars to take their kids to school... they said that they cannot take their kids to school anymore, they will have to find somebody else to do it.... They said that the corporate cars are not an optionCompTia A+ Certified

It is not right that Ricoh America is putting employee raises on hold for 6 months, but according to the Annual Report 2008 on the Ricoh website, Ricoh Global's net income was down -4.7%. This could explain why they pushed back raises.
As far as cars go though, I think overall that it is a good thing. Yes it bites that only employees can ride in the cars, but as you point out, it is a liability issue. On the flip side, if I had a company car it would save me over $3000, that would be around €2030 for you overseas fellas, per year in gas alone. The current vehicle reimbursement my company gives me doesn't even cover half of the cost to operate it.Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. ~Theodore RooseveltComment

Yes, I agree.. runzheimers is what we are on and I lose money every month that I am in that program. I fork out more cash in gas than I am reimbursed..
I understand that Ricoh took a loss, but we are hurting over here with the sudden increase in the economy and I don't just mean gas... everything went up out here. It was cool that they offered a voluntary vacation buyout, but they taxed the hell out of it....CompTia A+ Certified
