    Ricoh 220 not printing

We just hooked up a Ricoh 220 for a customer and discovered that the printer feature was offline. Printer interface and network card are installed. When going into User Tools and selecting 4 for print a message appears "please wait until processing has finished and try agian". No change in init status has happened.

Computer detects plug and play of the copier with parallel printer cable. Installs drivers but will not print. Computer indicates printer is in offline status.

What is wrong with this picture?

Although I haven't worked on a 220 in a while, I think that you can remove the components and reinitialize the copier without the print boards. Also, once you reinstall, that should fix any problems with boards that might have been partially out-of-place a bit during the move or something.

It sounds like it just may be a connection problem around the board area. It could be software related, but I would look at the boards first.

      Bingo

I found the problem. The NIC was bad. Once it was removed, the printer settings were enabled.
