    Windows 10 Printing Issue

    Hey Guys,

Has anyone had any issues printing from windows 10 to a Ricoh MPC2500.
Was printing fine, but user upgraded OS from windows 8 to 10 and now it wont print.
Have tried to reinstall drivers etc but it will not print. It can ping it etc.
All other users in the office are on windows 8 or 7 and can print no problem.

    Cheers in advance.

I have not had any issues printing or scanning with Windows 10, make sure you aren't installing the "Ricoh class driver "
That one is from windows updates and either doesn't work or has lots of quirky problems.

i downloaded the PCL 5c windows 10 driver but would not print. Also tried a universal one etc
It could well be the laptop and nothing to do with windows 10.

Are there any errors when you go to the machine and select the printer button and look at the error log ?

Windows has a nasty habit of installing Ricohs as WSD (Web Services Device) which frequently do not work. If the port is set as WSD try adding a new TCP/IP port. If that does not work, completely remove the current driver. When you then reinstall the printer, click "the printer I want isn't listed" while add printer is searching for printer to install. On the Find a printer by other options screen, select Add a printer using TCP/IP address or host name. On the type hostname or IP address, change "Device type" from Autodetect to TCP/IP Device. From there continue as you would with older versions of Windows. I had the same problem installing a MP C6003 on my laptop two days ago.

I started seeing this issue out of the blue with a fewversions of Windows 8 a while back. Below is a link to a thread that I started several months ago relating to it. The quick easy fix for me was to change the port type from RAW to LPR. Enter 'Ip' (or anything really) for the Queue name.
I now set everything to LPR from the get go.
It was explained to me in terms that I still don't fully understand , but It may be what's causing your problem too.

This is important. Just updating the driver will not work. Delete the printer and add a new one with the good driver.

@Tebow83, I encounter this problem after upgrade to win10 all printer install is not going well mess up cannot manage the printing especially you had a color printer and want to print grey scale it will not follow the setting.

                      On my experience,try this step.

                      1. try go to services management or services.msc, find the printer spooler ,press stop the services.
                      2. You delete the drivers of the printer being install before, by thru accessing the folder c:\windows\system32\spooler\driver\3 inside of the 3 folder delete the specific file or delete all the file inside of the 3 folder.
3.then go to device manager uninstall the printer driver install the systems, after you done all, you need to refresh by pressing the scan for hardware changes
                      4. then start add new printer and let the system find it the driver.

I hope it will help, on this kind of steps.
