Ricoh C6501 Toner cartridge Empty

hello Everyone
I have ricoh C6501 I got a problem that the yellow cartridge appear empty and it is half full. I replaced the toner cartridge with a new one but still show me same problem.

Please if any one know what is the problem help me.

It's a beast , and can be very touchy.

This machine will not add toner to the dev units unless everything in dev setup is correct / complete . If it goes to add toner (twice) and fails for some reason the machine believes the
toner is empty so it writes a 0 to the toner chip on the toner cartridge.
You need to go over your dev setup settings sp3812 , sp3815 , sp3817 and make sure all is set proper - or fix problem found. ( many ricoh TSB on this )
Confirm toner pump , toner end sensor , hose to sub hopper are not the source of the problem.
If all is good above you can try and reset the chip on the cartridge using the machine ( Another ricoh TSB on how to do this )

You will almost certainly need to replace the Y dev mix, and to be honest probably a hell of a lot more than that. Unless you REALLY know what your doing here this will end badly.

I have tried reset the printer but didn't work too I guess i have ti change the chip

how do I know the pump work in my machine, I am from saudi arabia any website sell it trough internet?

I can find you yellow pump give tomorrow I will see if we have one in the store room

Change Yellow developer AND yellow toner bag.
Be carefull to empty the development unit totally, not a grain to be left behind.

Follow the correct procedure for initialize the new developer.

Don't start swapping parts without trying the easy/cheap trick first:

- disable independent toner manufacturer thingy SP
- upload NV ram to sd card
- perform engine memory clear
- restore nv ram backup from sd card

For some reason everything works fine after this procedure in most cases.
In order to make shure that the pump etc. works fine you should perform a high coverage test run afterwards.

Messing around with NV ram clear is a challenge, even for a non lost tech.
My advice is as always: "only do RAM clear at gunpoint..."

See if last procon result shows 10101010.if it's different post here the result .and we see what happen. At service had a option that shows toner remains an status.if toner status is 0. U cannot do procon execute.try to put 10 what means full.and do the procon execute . But if toner chip has empty , you will have to change. I'm not with the manual right now but I will see what option it is and tell you.
