OUCH! My buddy did the same thing getting off a horse real fast. He spiraled as he got off and just messed it up. He unfortunatley was out in the sticks and had to wait awhile before the paramedics got there. What caused him to get off so fast was his brother fell off another horse and had the wind knocked out of him. My buddy thoght he was really hurt because he didn't answer him right away, so he hurried off his horse and ended up the far worst of it. Hope you get better real soon. Aw heck your probably 30 yrs old and will heal up in no time!!!

Damn that sounds like a real cruel injury, I bet you wish you grabbed that hand rail now.

I was out of action for six months when I broke my right leg so I know something about the pain and swelling you are going though.
I'll like to say the road to recovery is easier but I remember that being pretty damn brutal as well.

Wow, that is the pits. I feel your pain, though. About 10 months ago I had to have my left ankle reconstructed after a rugby injury. I was on crutches for 4 weeks, in a boot for 6-7 more weeks followed by a few months of rehab. It's a major p.i.t.a. but you'll get over it. Get well soon Al.
