Ricoh MP 2500 replaced Print/scan controller

Had a customer get hit by a surge, dead print controller. Hytec no longer supports this, NWRS tried their best but too damaged. I found a "recycled print controller. Swapped the NV RAM from the original board. Everything functions except I cannot enter scan destinations, The web interface on the opening page shows the available functions, copy, fax, print and scan. However there is not a scan area in the configuration and the address book does not show a scan destination. I can manually enter an email address and it does send.
I performed a memory clear all, still no help. Also I cannot "browse" their network to manually search for a scan to folder. Almost acts like I don't have permission to access the scan functions.....???

Most likely the surge fried the HDD.

This is a MP 2500, (not MPC ) There is not a HDD on this system. I can enter fax destinations, just not scan destinations ( folder or email )

If the MP 2500 has a print/scan sd card make sure its in the correct slot. Have you initialized the address book? 5-846-050

Had the exact symptoms described by the poster, with a previous generation of this machine. Customer had picked up the machine (somewhere), and couldn't get the scanner to function. SD card was in wrong slot.

I think you might want to reconsider your position.
                From the manual:
                SD Card.pdf
I believe the address book card is redundant once the print/scan card has been installed
(please correct me if I'm wrong)

Wow, and I was "so careful" when changing out cards from board to board...sometimes just get "tunnel vision" Thanks for the help.

Wanted to thank everyone for assistance. Just returned from clients system and the SD card was in the wrong slot.
