Hey yall, First post here. love all the ideas here. I have a C3003 with 90K on it. The Colors are a bit on the light side. If 10 is perfect this is about a 7. Customer runs full color prints. They said it looked good since they had it, but it has really faded out. I have replaced the K pcu and dev unit just to do it because the black was a touch on the light side. I also replaced the fusing unit. I went into Sp mode to adjust some of the transfer settings and the customer is also running on Thick 4 mode thru the bypass. Any ideas on how to darken the color prints up?

Re: Ricoh C3003 light CQ
The machine isn't designed for full colour prints. I know that previous models handled it pretty well despise the specs so some customers might getting used to handle the machines this way^^
Still the new engine design for the metis result in more pale-looking solid colours (even after first setup) and issues if the average coverage gets too high.
You can try and force toner/re-initialize DV but I can warn you that you might see toner spilling, heavily decreased PM cycles.Comment

Sort of what Gift said. I have seen these have some issues keeping up on toner in the system if a customer does a lot of full color volume.
The color can look pretty weak, but if you do forced toner add, it snaps back nicely. Why it is having issues trying to keep up I don't know, but it has been something I have seen on occasion.Comment
