      SC 220 has to do with the laser sync. SC 966 is the polygon mirror motor. I would go after the polygon mirror motor as it could affect laser sync.

      SC 220 Laser synch detect board defective
      SC 220 LD unit
      SC 220 IPU defective
      SC 220 BCU defective
      SC 220 Laser sync error - Suggest to replace both front door switches
      SC 220 Laser sync detect error - Refer to bulletin # 57 for improved reliability of imaging unit..
      SC 966 Polygon mirror motor ready error - Polygon mirror motor defective
      SC 966 Polygon mirror motor ready error - Check harness and connections
