    RICOH 2022 Email scans problem

I only seem to be able to email to yahoo email. If I try to email a scan to anyone else at another domain, gmail, randomdomainname, etc, I get an error code.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you can e-mail to Yahoo the machine is working correctly.
Check the addresses you are sending to.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

I have, several times. I can email to the address from a PC connected to the same network to the address, but when I specify the address using the manual input when emailing a scan, it errors. I can [OK] the error, go back and change the send to email address to something@yahoo.com and it works perfectly.

Example, randomdude@randomdude.com errors, but randomdude@yahoo.com works.

Try enabling SP5-860 for "SMTP From Replacement". This will allow the sender name in the admin email address to be part of the authentication. Otherwise use a smtp relay server program such as Mercury Mail to forward the scans.

Sounds like something in your settings. You can email normally on other networked pc's so check and copy the settings from that pc. run ipconfig /all from command. Make sure the DNS settings are the same and any other aplicable settings are the same. Firewall possible. Setup a new email account on your laptop using your customers network and see what happens.......Ant
