MP3351 no print or scan

Just checking before I order an expensive Controller Board. The machine does not load the print or scanner modules. It's as if it doesn't have the options.
I believe that the controller has gone bad.
What do you think?

Tes, it has been working for a few years. Just quit. May have had a power outage but can't be sure.

its possible that the surge got it. but is the network connection good? have you put a laptop on that connection to see if you can get on the network? can you WIM into mfp?

Cannot WIM, there is no network connection. I ordered the board. Thanks for the help

Did you try directly connecting your laptop to determine if it was the network and not the machine. Or try connection your laptop to the network using the same cable and connector as the machine.

I would start by cleaning memory contacts/disconnecting and reconnecting all connections for the . Also.....printer option--- double-check to see if it is enabled in SP mode. Would update firmware also just to see if that helps with the issue. Or maybe the SD Card is bad......

Cleaned all the contacts, removed RAM and reset.
FYI,This machine does not use an SD card for the print scan. Only the b&w scan units have print/scan as on option. Color scan is standard on the controller board.

another FYI, the controller board wasn't that costly, $189 exchange from NWRS.

I hope you remembered to remove the NVRAM.
