MPC3003 : Indication that there is no black toner although toner is full

Control panel on MPC3003 displays that there is no black toner although toner is full and properly replaced. We tried to replace several toners, but the message still stays.

    Please, help.

    Thank you in advance !

Defective toner end sensor. Problem with the toner supply system. Check the value of Vt. If it is in the normal range, the sensor is bad. If it is high, it is a supply problem.

Are you using OEM toners? Barring an issue with the RFID that reads the toner chip......Replace dv unit and K toner pump and the issue will be fixed. You can continue printing while you wait for those parts by setting the machine to no detect (K toner) in service mode......but don't run that copier for long that way. Get those parts. If you are not a tech.....call one now.

Used to be SP 3045 in older models. For the CXX03s it is SP 3100-001. Check SP 5803-037. If it is 0 the sensor is bad.

Had same problem last week with a MPC 3300, changed the K Toner pump and everything is ok, the only issue is that the toner remain status is wrong now, the toner is new but it shows only one line instead of 5.......

                Hi guys !

Thank you all for your suggestions. The problem was about one broken mixer in toner hopper. We solved that.

We also noticed one strange and unusual thing on three MPC3003 devices. Developer units accumulate some kind of dirt of unknown origin and that produces pale lines on copies. That is especially obvious during photo printing.

                Did anybody have similar experiences?

We get Ricoh to warranty them if they develop (har har) deletions below 50% life.

I've seen that on older machines. What I saw then was usually either caused by paper dust or toner that had developed clumps due to being exposed to excessive heat. More often paper dust though, it blocks the developer flow which causes insufficient developer on the magnetic roller.

                      Hi there!
White stripes was a common problem on the 2800 & 3300-series (mostly when they were introduced, there was a RTB about that), we had this problem also on the METIS-range.
Since RICOH had delivery-problems on dev-units at that time, i carefully opened the dev-units, removed the dev-powder and used a plasicmade strain to remove the strange particles.
Mostly not toner or paperdust, but little plastic-particles probably from the manufacturing process. After cleaning the doctor-blade/-gap & refilling the powder this problem was gone.
                      Greetings...
