SPC 430 DN - "Privileges required" - Login reset possible?

    Hello everybody.

Trying to change an IP adress on a used Ricoh 430.
Machine telling me, "Privileges are required to use this function"
Tried standard logins with admin/admin, etc.
Tried 1003-001 "Initialize System" - No change
Tried 5801-008 "Printer Aplication" - No change

    How can i reset the privileges/ username-password ?

I even called Ricoh service where a very bored person tried to help me with several login attempts...couldn't help me. Told me to write an email request after i have been listening to him for 30 minutes.

Did he have you try "supervisor" with no password? Supervisor can do one thing, change the admin credentials. I hve encountered some models where it has to be used from WIM.

      Thanks Slimslob.

Login seemed to work, but when trying to specify new IP tells me "Privileges are required to use this function supervisor"
      =]

      Any other ideas?

you need to reset the admin password with the supervisor account then login to the admin account to make changes...

Login to the WIM with the "new" Administrator credentials you've created, and turn off all User and/or administrator Authentication settings

Login to WIM as supervisor works.

But i can't change anything because SSL is not available.
Plus all admin acounts are greyed out, so i can just change passwords, but not deactivate accounts.

Let me try to speak more slowly....you CAN change Administrator 1 username /password as you've just stated!
              Do that.
The Default is Admin /no password, so I'd suggest clicking on "change" then leaving password blank, and pressing "OK", then 'OK' again on the main page to lock it in
              THEN....Logout,
and log back in with THOSE credentials, and marvel at the options that are now available to you.
Find, and turn off all user and Administrator authentication (under 'configuration')

Thanks for speaking slow to me.

That is exactly what i did. Changed the admin password (admin 1) to blank.
                Pressed ok.
                Logged out.
Tried to login as admin with no password.
Does not work. States that SSL is unavailable.

The message about SSL is informative only. It just tells you that the transaction will not be encrypted.

From the first image, you need to change the administrator 1. You can leave the name as admin and then change the password. Also in the upper section remove all check marks from any administrator other than administrator 1. That way administrator 1 has full rights to everything.

You can then login as admin with the password you have created and change what ever you wish.

Web Image Monitor, basically the web interface for a copier. You will need to have the copier on the network, and have its current IP address.

You can get that from User Tools > System Settings > Interface Settings > Machine IPv4 Address.

Once on the network, you can use the IP address in any web browser (except Chrome, which sometimes doesn't work).
