[Misc] Mpc 6502 dems not working

Hello everyone,

Can somebody help me why my RICOH MPC6502 DEMS EXECUTE not working, it just show COMPLETE without running.

Yes, only dems on the Pro series.

Actually no, the Pro series is called Pro C5100 and Pro C5110

Zaxxon is correct !!!!!!!!!!!! the DEMS does not work and is not available for the C6502 office series color machines!!!!!!!! did that on the first one I set up.....

Sorry but after I updated the engine and system copy firmware it started no to work. Thanks

The C6502 is not a pro machine. Zaxxon and Tonerbomb are correct. The C6502 is the same series as the pro C5100 and C5110 but the C6502 and the C8002 are considered office versions (non-pro) of the C5100. Since they are the same series, you will have the same buttons listed in all machines, such as dems exectution, but not all of the pro tech will work in the office versions. The electric field modulation system uses an ID sensor that monitors the patches on the ITB so that the development bias and charge bias can be re-adjusted during printing to reduce banding. Manually executing this in service mode does not mean it has actually run or done anything either, on pro machines or the office versions. If process control has run within a certain time (auto-run intervals and variables considered), manually executing DEMS will return a completed result but may not have actually run or adjusted any values.

I am not certain but I think that turning off DEMS in Process Control was one of the first firmware updates to help reduce excessive toner consumption and waste toner filling up early.
