Nashuatec 2205 Aficio Not Scanning Double-Sided

I have a Nashuatec 2205 Aficio copier which I have inherited. Everything works fine except when I come to use the top feed for double-sided copying. The copier takes the paper through to scan the first side fine but doesn't bring it back through to scan the second side.

I have had it serviced before which it didn't work at all because of a cracked wheel. It was replaced with the same component from an Infotec MP C2050 and now works fine for single sided sheets but not double-sided.

    Can anybody help???

I think those are the same as a Ricoh 1022/1027. Those machines came out on 2001 so it is almost 15 years old. I would jump for joy if can even make a copy let alone be worried about double sided. But that doesn't really make sense that a 1022 was fixed using c2050 parts. The C2050 was released in 2008 and has been discontinued for 3 years already. Either way I'd be looking for a replacement instead of spending more money on repairs. (assuming I'm correct on my model references).

The little help I can give is to ask what you mean by "not work"? Does it jam when trying to pull it back to scan the second side or just eject the paper completely after scanning the first side? Jam code on the screen? Stupid questions first, sorry, you selected duplex original and duplex output? Mechanically it could be a broken guide, solenoid not activating for duplex path, clutch is dead, or rollers are dirty and slipping.

I can confirm that rosspt is correct on that. The Nashuatec D2205 is indeed a Ricoh Aficio 1022. So if you are looking for feeder parts you need to look up parts for Ricoh feeder model DF75. Try precision roller as they stock a lot of those items and have pics of the stuff you may need to eliminate confusion.

Are you getting a feeder jam indication? There is a pad that an arm on the duplex gate hits when it returns t home position. When it set against the pad for an extended time period, it sticks and the gate does not activate. The purpose of the pad is to reduce the level of the click noise when the gate returns to home. I just remove the pad.

          That's exactly what's wrong here.
