This machine uses a DIMM enabler for printing, scanning, and faxing. If the DIMM is missing for a particular option, then that option will not be available for use.

At the beginning of production of the 1045, there were choices of print only or print/scan. (Later on, I believe you could only get print/scan.)

Maybe you have a print only dimm?

        Regards

Yep, Star is right. You said you´ve got a print server, sounds like your machine is a standard LPT port connected to a computer with printer share, that means you´ve got no print or print scanner installed. check that and then will see, oh bye the way do you have a RJ45 connection check that too.

            Star has a good point.

If you have the PRINT/SCAN DIMM then you need to leave the FAX DIMM off because it is not required, and if you have this DIMM combination installed it won't work correctly.

If you have the PRINT and FAX DIMMs then you are missing the SCAN.
