    Ricoh MP c8002

    Hi
I had magenta dropping toner in the machine so decided to vac the unit, the machine has done 300k odd without being touched so changed all the parts as normal. Lub, brush and blades.

Put the unit back in the machine and now all I have is Magenta unit Cleaning unit Lubricant bar needs replacing, so I checked the sensor and all was fine, lub bar was round the right way and it still has done it. Reset the counters in the PM etc. It still came up with it and won't let me do colour as expected.

I have now changed the whole unit from a spare machine and it still says replace Lub bar in Cleaning unit Magenta.

Is there something I have to reset once this message appears as I am a bit stuck now. The call was for the toner dropping but the machine was working.

Thanks for any of your time

    Tim

      Hi Johny

Thanks for that, I have now checked and the Flag for the Magenta is on 3 as in it's come to End Detection. I have rest the PM counter the way it says and still no good, tried a spare unit and a spare yellow unit which fitted, didn't do any copies but it still says problem with Magenta. I guess a Memory reset is the next plan.

      Thanks for getting back

        Hi

For anyone else who has this trouble, I solved it. I reset only the Engine memory which then removed the Flag on the Magenta Lub bar End Detection, which was renewed in the beginning. I also changed units from another good machine which didn't sure it. I had updated all the Firmware and that didn't originally cure it for reference. The D1 sensor had to calibrated again as it came up with D1 Jam as soon as I switched on, using SP1-134-002 between 200 and 300 as it was on 0. The machine did the auto detect and made it 329 so all good.

        Hope this helps
