    Ricoh pro1357 printer help

    Hello Mates,

Thanks for everyone supporting this forum.

I have a PRO1357 Printer and I am not able to print on that.
This Printer is new. After warming up it shows Ready status and Online.
I have never setup this printer before, so don't know about configuration.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks and regards,

First: what is your connection to printer usb or network?
second: do you have any password activated with this printer without taking your care?

Added IP in Printer Configuration and same range added in and same IP range in Interface setting.
After installing windows M driver does not print anything.

        Any Help?

How you installed the drivers?, it's not an exe file or autosetup as home office printers, did you (in windows) add new port......then ip adress of the 1357...and at least he asks for the driver??

What are you referring to by IP range? There are normally only 3 things that need to be set if you are using fixed IP: IP address, sub-net mask and gateway/router. If it is on a domain, you should also set the domain name. If you have set anything n the "access range" settings you might have set it to block those IP addresses.

You may also have a firewall problem on the computer(s).

This printer is going to connect on a network.

This is the printer Version of Pro1357. It has 2 places for Interface Settings.
For Server Print Interface and Machine Interface.

                Print Server IP Address: 192.168.1.110
                Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
                Gateway Address: 192.168.1.1

                Machine IP Address: 192.168.1.111
                Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
                Gateway Address: 192.168.1.1

When trying to install on a network it shows on Network and after installing M Driver shows Ready status on Windows 7.
But no printout comes from the machines.

With 2 IP addresses, I am inclined to believe that it has a Fiery Print Server. That being the case, you need to connect and configure the Fiery.

As I mention before, this is a Printer Version PRO1357 and having Embedded Print Server unlike PRO1357EX with an external Fiery.
May be this is the issue preventing me to configure the machine.

                    Thanks,

                      Thanks,
It is still a Fiery Print Server, just mounted internally.

You are right but the issue is how to setup the machine for printing.

Printing is done through the Fiery. Check that you have all the connections correct. You should have two network ports on each of the controller boxes. On the upper box there is a standard 10/100 BaseTX and a Gigabit port. On the lower box there are 2 gigabit ports. The top gigabit port on the lower box should be connected to the gigabit port on the upper box. The bottom gigabit port on the lower box is the network print port. It can connect to 10/100 network as well as gigabit networks. The 10/100 port on the upper box is for administration only.

Thanks for the information. I tried connecting to Network as per your instructions, but when I ping to the Fiery IP address it is not finding the IP.

Have you tried to scan your network with a NEtwork watcher or sniffer?, can you see the machine?.Did you test to print something with telnet?, bypassing every driver issue? you can try as follows:
open a comand prompt, type telnet "ip adress of Fiery" and 9100 (ex: 192.168.2.100 9100), then in the next window type something in (you can't see the input, only a moving cursor), press ENTER and close the window with the "X", if your network and the machines NIC is ok, a print comes out.
