I think he's talking about a C2525, as there is no b&w 2525. If that is the case, then it does support embedded SMB scanning, and you would be able to use a shared folder.
Create a new folder, right click it, select sharing, then tell it to share the folder. Make sure your permissions are set to fully allow modification of the folder by everyone (all users), click OK.
Sorry if I left out a few details. Different operating systems may vary slightly, but that's the general idea of how to do it.
Oops, I did read it wrong. Sorry. I had 2527 in my head when I was writing it.
When you set up the SMB share, I generally set it up in the root directory, so you don't have to path it too long. You'll see what I'm talking about in the setup.
