Hi

Good Day!

i have 2 machine with the same issue showing waste toner bottle is full even we change 2 times new waste toner bottle also change the sensor, thus anyone experience this issue please advise. thanks in advance...

What version Firmware do both machines have? You'd be surprised how many issues are fixed with a firmware update.

One thing that comes to mind is maybe the copier will not clear the full error until it detects the waste bottle has been removed and then replaced. Maybe it's an issue with the Waste toner bottle set switch.

And.....a note from the service manual:

4.9.2 ADJUSTMENT AFTER REPLACING
The counter for the Waste Toner Bottle is reset automatically.
The counter is not reset with SP3-701-142 (Manual New Unit Set: Waste Toner Bottle) and
SP7-622-142 (PM Counter reset: Waste Toner Bottle).

But......just checked the firmware history on the Ricoh site for notes on that issue and found this note:




Update Firmware and then the counter of the waste toner bottle can be manually cleared in SP7-622-142


Updating the firmware and then manually clearing the count will most probably be the fix for you. (That issue was addressed in Common Engine Firmware version 1.28:01) Hope that helps...............

automatically reset the counter of waste toner bottle once you replaced new once you don't need to reset.
