MP 2000 light copies, constant paper jams

MP 2000 has done 18K, constant paper jam @ fuser and producing light copies.
Added toner (force toner supply) OK, yet after 600 prints, goes light again.
Confirmed toner supply ratio and mode OK. Im thinking of changing dev.
Advice if anything to be done first.

The gears are okay, toner hoper is okay.,I'm thinking its the TD sensor
      but not quite sure.

All this talk of gears and TD sensor, yes as far as the feint copies are concerned, but has nothing to do with the paper jamming though. Sounds like two issues here. As others have said, 18K is nothing, gears inside the dev unit unlikely to be worn, unless, the dev has been seriously leaking into them, try another PCU if you have one handy. Check if the transfer is working, is there is dense image on the drum that isn't being transfered, have you disconnected the connector on the right hand door ? For the jams, check the actuators at the registration area, they are really fiddly and can break or jam easily.

            Hi there!
Soory, forget the jam. The 1. thing on all KIR, we remove the middle separation-stripper & the white roll in the workshop, jam-problems going to zero.
Also very important are the bushings for the pressure-roller. If worn out: noise, bad fusing & jam. On the most machines there gone after 20-25K copies/prints.
            Greetings...

It sounds to me like Developer Initialization SP 2214-1 was not run at installation. After you run forced toner, run Developer Initialization to adjust the Toner Density control to the current level of toner. Otherwise it will just keep fading back to what it thinks is the proper toner density.
