Hi all, can I calibrate one of these bad boys?

I cant find any calibration setting in the user tools or under red 107 green, but need to calibrate it as the print quality is poor even with brand new consumables fitted?

Poor how? Misregistered colours or just generally rubbish?

It is in the service manual under Printing out the test chart to make sure MUSIC was performed correctly, Checking that MUSIC was Performed Correctly and If MUSIC has not been performed successfully.

Generally just poor, a little light and wishy washy. Done colour registration, cleaned the white strip under the glass and cleaned mirrors etc

At least on the older C232 series I've found that the only way to get a decent colour print is to use good paper. 24# or 28#, or your metric equivalent, will generally give you a better quality output. It costs more and most customers don't want to pay for the extra expense, but it's made as an entry level device. I use one in my office and we have a small enough volume that we can eat the cost of the paper for a better looking result.

I agree. With 20#, 75 gsm, you get too much bleed through from what ever is in back.

Check toner saving isn't turned on, that gives lovely washed out copies if you like that sort of thing
