    [Misc] MP6001 - SP1923, what for?

    Good afternoon!

SP1923 - HV Fusing Temp Cont

What is this for? There isn't any other mention on the service manual, nor on my-ricoh. This was set at "0" (default is "1") on a machine that "glued" together several sets of fusing rollers.

I already made the required changes (new thermistors, brackets and fusing idling) but the fact that this was turned off is bugging me, as I don't know if it can be related.

    Any hints?

    Cheers!

Did the machine have a number of fusing SCs in a short time period prior to fusing the rollers together? Customers repeatedly resetting over heat errors without allowing the fusing unit to cool back down will melt the pressure roller to the hot roller. As for the SP 1923, my only guess would that it might have something to do with the 9001 which is a 220 volt (HV) machine.
