    MP C5502

    Hi all

    went to a MP C5502 had a noise coming from fuser area, took it out cleaned and oiled it, put it back in fuser code kicked up, and machine has froze any ideas ??

    Was the code the SC544 code? If so, you'll need a reset fuse to reset the error. This thread has a lot of good info:

      The only noise I have from these fusers, is from a broken down fuser sleeve's oil pad. You will need to replace the complete sleeve unit, don't forget to swap the old stripper plate or take a new one.

        New sleeve units comer packed with a reset fuse. I haven't had to use one yet, so I am building a supply of fuses.

          Thanks for the replies, silly question when it throws up a fuser code does this stop the keyboard etc working as the machine i have nothing works. ??
