Problem updating MP161!!!!
So, I was updating the software when the power went out! Now of course I have a blank screen when the machine came back on. Is there any idea's on how to get this thing running again!

Never seen it myself (thankfully)
The only suggestion I have would be to try treating it like an E32 or 40 error:
Wait enough time that the machine 'should' have booted up, then try Clear modes,143, clear/stop (x5). Reboot

By blank I mean copier turns on, screen lights up with no print/words and machine does not cycle. Having no luck with SP mode or FP mode. Looks like I might have to replace the controller. Oh well sh*% happens! I will let you know....Comment

Had to scrap original NVRAM's and use the ones with new (used)controller.MR's are different but customer ok with that. Now to go through all the settings! Yay! NotComment

It could have just been the op panel board that was blank. I did that once updating a 3245c. I shut the machine down before the fw was finished with the OP Panel. Replaced the PCB under the panel and updated the fw. This time I waited until done.Comment
