My problem is that i cannot scan from pc. Drivers downloaded from Ricoh site (RPCS and NETWORK TWAIN) i can print (network connection) but even Smart Device Monitor does not recognise it as the other terminals. Web Image monitor works fine for any adjustments or so..I tried a crossover cable from laptop, new install to drivers, but scanner isn't available.(Fault 12320 "cannot find the scanner") Any suggestions please?

Sounds like the Firewall is blocking the connection. TWAIN just seems to be on its last legs in the new world of network security. There are plenty of posts on the site about unblocking the correct ports for TWAIN. If SDM doesn't see it, is the machine on the same network segment? If it's in a VLAN envirnoment, if the routing tables aren't right, you may not be able to see it. -
Does the machine know it has a scanner? Does Web Image monitor show a scanner and it is ready? where are you getting the message: (scanner isn't available)Comment

I found that scanner usage was restricted from Web Image Monitor settings, Windows Firewall-i had to "open" port 1022-and Key operator Tools settings. Step by step scanner became active again.. Such a complicated story for me with less experience in network segments. Thanks a lot for your interest!!Comment
