Got a mp2500 which is producing a black band roughly 1/2 inch wide across the copy (not in the feed direction) right across the page about 3 inches from the lead edge.

hi best thing to do is check if you having this issue from scanner or printer side. If it happens from both ends i would put my 2 cents on the charge roller seen them cause that sort of problem before.

Firsr determine if its only copying or printing as said before, if its only copies try cleaning the optics if its printing check pm meter if its over 60k on the pcu its due for rebuild. Also check your laser shield the slit of glass located under the toner hopper pull it out and make sure is not covered in toner.Comment
