    Pro C900 Oil Application

    Hi all...

I have a problem with Oil Application Unit, it gets damaged on front end, after second we replaced on one machine I thought there is something wrong with fuser, but now, we have 4 different machines on field and all have same problem, Oil Application Unit cant last more than 50k without damage. I cant see any problem with fusers, even with damage, prints are fine, there is no oil marks. What am I missing?

The tension springs that hold it against the belt are DIFFERENT front and rear. If memory serves, the black one goes on the rear. Double check the tech bulletins for more info. Also, make sure you DUMP a lot of fuser oil in the holes in the cover when assembled to "prime" the belt.

Black Spring - FRONT; Silver Spring - REAR. I doubt they are the cause of your problem though. Check that there isn't a screw that is the wrong length somehow pressing into the Oil Application Roller.
