Afico 3245C with dark shaded background on entire sheet

Changed color brushless motor today the motor turned and motor code was eliminated. Had new code of SC685 attributed to scanner connection whic is ok now. However, prints image but have dark shaded background on entire sheet. Your help is greatly appreciated. Stillin customer's office. Frank

sounds like you lost drum corona charge. check all your connections that you took lose make sure they are seated properly.

Machine prints normally from computer or when I print counter sheet from control panel .

So prints are OK, but copies are not? If the copies were OK before this, it might not hurt to review the scanner connections. The SBU connections are where I'd start, then maybe the scan lamp.
Might need to clean the optics if you aren't sure about copy quality. Based on that error code I'd also check to see if something was blocking the light from the scanner from getting to the SBU.

if prints ok and counter report is ok then optics is problem. check lamp does it come on then check mirrors they could be out of position they have a clip holds in place maybe fell out or mirror shifted, or optics were caught and cable move try follow opitcs alignment in service manual.
