MPC3000 printing calibration color bars random error

    Hi guys,

I've been searching for any threads regarding the above issue, with no luck. The machine usually does this randomly, when someone prints. Is it something to do with the memory NOT clear? Or faulty board?

    Thanks.

Nope - it's normally a knackered cleaning unit.

You mean cleaning unit defect? Or cleaning unit needs cleaning?

Replace the cleaning unit in the transfer belt. What's the pm count on?

With image wipe that bad it's well, well past it's life.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

          Hit it.

I wish I had an answer for you. I can tell you that I had a call on a wide format cw2200 that spit one of these pages out at the beginning of a print job on a 36x48 sheet, and it has not occurred again. Weird.

I'd guess if the ITB cleaning unit was kaput, most copies and prints would look awful after a while. Is that the case?
On the other hand, for what it is worth, while I might be full of crap that does kind of look like a computer generated print defect. If possible please let us know more about the conditions when that happens. We can't see what that machine is doing after all, so you are our eyes here.

If memory serves me right it's the process control or music in operation during a run to maintain CQ. I had this years ago and I was lucky enough to stop it (image) on the tx belt to work out it wasn't the fuser drums etc. CQ was fine on a run but then this was printed every so often. Like most items on the early MPC range we ran the PM on way past its life.

check for a bad turning Transfer Belt or Transfer Roller, or check the fuser gear, i had a broken fuser gear that made strange things on the copies

I'll be glad to be your eyes. Will post latest later. Thanks guys for your support. While printing a document, it includes those bars, especially during the morning after booting up. During the day, it's random. I tried hex dump
                    But seemed temporarily only.
