USB Print server Model recommendation please. MPC8002 and MPCW2200

I've seen various threads that you guys have used a USB print server due to the machines not taking a second network card. We have an MPC 8002 and a Wide format MPCW2200 that need extra input for another network. I've tried TP Link TL-PS310U. My boss bought 2 brand new one's and nothing. Tried everything. Then i tried an old HP Jetdirect 175x and also nothing! won't even print the Test page! I realise the HP is an old USB 1.1 device but thought it would work! ** Just to confirm USB ports are live and have tested via PC/Laptop prior to testing with print server.
Any suggestions welcome please guys with a model number! Thanks

Did you check the compatibility list for the TL-PS310U before ordering it. The only Ricoh equipment listed are MP 1600, MP 1600L and MP 200L. Sounds like it might be intended for low end printer use.

Thanks for the reply slimslob. My boss just ordered them thinking a decent one would work and then i get greif when it don't do anything.

Just to update this thread and provide some positive news.
After doing lot's of research and testing of several other makes and models of print server as a last hope ordered a Silex SX-DS-3000WAN USB device server.
It's gigabit and wireless but just using the wired interface. Tested fully working for printing via USB interface for Ricoh

MPC7501SP
MPC6003SP
MPC8002SP / MPC6502
MPCW2200 Wide format.

After contacting their support and conversing with them couldn't be more helpful as well!
