[Jamming] Savin 2527 (Ricoh 1027) SC 542 Wrinkling paper

The paper is skewing somewhere between the paper feed guide above the paper trays (right side) and the fuser. For the life of me I cannot figure out where...
The problem is intermittent. Thinking this is a common problem. Can someone point me in the right direction Thanks so much

If you're sure that the skew is happening before registration then remove the duplexer, and the small side cover on the machine that it's mounted to.
The cover may already have come loose over time causing a skew and/or the vertical rollers inside it become dirty/slippery and need a scrub.

If not, then make sure all of the plastic "fingers" are intact on the fuser entrance guide. If even one is broken off, you can have wrinkled pages

I had one where the tiny 'saw teeth' on the 2nd transfer roller were poking up and causing the paper to bow slightly and the fuser to crush into creases. Check & replace transfer roller..

Are you using the swop-out pcu or the rebuildable type? If memory serves, both have a flap that covers the drum. Check that this opens up completely when the side door is closed. If it skips even one tooth on the actuator gear, it sits in the paper path and can catch the paper as it comes past on its way to the fuser.

I second the teeth on the fusing entrance guide- that can cause major headaches. Also check the guide itself that it is clean. These collect toner over time, and build-up tends to happen on the ends of the guide- where paper is caught and fed in skew, then the fuser just mangles it as it feeds it out.

Also check the teeth on the transfer roller gear and the registration and registration driven (silver roller) grear. These are all critical when it comes to paper feed. Check for even pressure on the silver roller (mentioned above) and that all the bushings in the right door are in one piece.

is the copy true or skewed?
if it s not skewed on image but skews during copy process i ould pull fuser and clean plastic entry guide,"scrape it clean and clean tops of fingers,ck lower roller for flat spots, clean metal lower roller cleaning roller, clean registration roller wth wd40 and get it nice and rubberry.
and last ck to see if paper is catching a "snag point",cld be broken plastic guides..
