    Ricoh MP6500 bypass paperfeed noise

Hello - I have a problem with a brand new MP6500 with the bypass paperfeed tire making a noise.I think the sylenoid is letting the paperfeed down to far. Do i have to take the whole bypass out to adjust the sylenoid that releases the paperfeed down to hit the paper? Can i adjust it without taking the whole bypass out?? They made it so the bypass is not to easy to get out.

Before you remove the assembly, do an output check of all components and see if you can better identify EXACTLY what is making the noise. It may be a bit tough, but I would at least use the features of the machine to do the work before I go digging around. You should be able to get the rollers to spin, then 'stack' the solenoid after it to better judge which component is noisy.

I remember on the b003 models, the torque limiter was noisy on the bypass sep, but it made such a weird sound that it initially took a while to narrow down. Once the noise has been heard, it's easier to identify on later service calls.
