    Ricoh wireless printing from MAC

    hi

    I have 2 diffrent customer with two diffrent wirless networks printing wirless to a SPC430(Connected to wirless router) and a MPC2050 (has a wirless Option attached to it) from a MAC OS they keep on having a issue where it fails to print keeps coming up with printer not connected is there a setting that i am missing both machines have PS any help will do ?

    Make sure the printers are connected via LDP and not mDNS (aka Bonjour). If the location of the device is ldp://ipaddress, then you are all good. Check from Safari (or another web browser) localhost:631 to see where the driver points to. I was once told by Ricoh support to specify the queue 'print' when installing he driver, when having some slow printing issues. This may or may not apply here.

      For LPD printing, the correct queue to use on all GW Ricoh devices is lp, as in line printer. Make sure the address format is lpd://ipaddress/lp. Also be sure the MFPs have static addresses instead of DHCP since it's quite likely that the Mac (MAC is something completely different) is looking for the devices on an old IP.
