    Savin 8025 print streaking issue

    All -

I'm currently dealing with a print streaking issue on a Savin 8025. For the first three prints of the day, the prints will be streaky with a lot of text repeated on the page. After that the copier prints like a dream. I've replaced toner, and this happens regardless of how you print/copy. Searching online I'm not finding the answer I'm looking for here. Any ideas? I'm not a copier guy, but being IT leads you to have to deal with all sorts of fun situations..

    Thanks!

Hi, Sounds like the hot roller is probably covered in toner which will cause repeat images and should be replaced. Also the copier could be in need of a pm.

agree the heat roller could be covered with toner and if so should be replaced, but if not you can turn on fuser idling and that should take care of it SP1103-1

        Agreed.
See this a lot particularly when either (or both) Generic Fuser rollers or toner is used

Hot roller, is a common problem; but:
I have noticed that there is a bad lot of pcu 1027 circulating. I know this because I have replaced a new one yesterday with the same symptoms as you describe here. Also there was recently a treat of a colleague who describes problems with the latest pcu 1027.
Easy check : if the smears is also visible on the transfer roller, it's the pcu; if the hot roller is somewhat dirty it's the hot roller...
Of course, it could be both (the law of mister Murphey) ...
But there could be many other causes...
Perhaps call a technician ... your save with us... we are really nice guy's, you know... We will save your day ... and your machine ...
And ... and ... so on...
