Our school just had a Ricoh Aficio 350 Donated and it works however the copies have lines all through it. Would anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm afraid to say, that Someone donating you a 1998 model copier, is not helping you out in any way, shape, or form.Comment

Re: Ricoh Aficio 350
I still have a customer with one of these machines. It's even still on a service contract! these are old as dirt and will cost more to throw out than it is worth. However there's some simple things you can do to diagnose the problem.
Print out a meter read page -- user tools, counter, print, hit start. Are there lines on it?
If not, then the problem is in the optics up top. I recommend you get a tech out to clean the optics and everything else. If you're only paing one hour labor, that's probably an ok investment.
If the meter page does have lines on it, are they straight or a little wavy? Straight lines are likely from the fuser, which would suggest your fusing rollers need replaced. If they are wavy, that's probably your drum unit -- drum, charge roller, and cleaning blade. Call your local Ricoh dealer and ask them for a quote on installation of these parts. I would guess this is NOT a worthwhile investment. The fusing rollers are probably not even available anymore.
If the document feeder on top stops working, abandon all hope! these basically can not be fixed in any reliable fashion simply due to bad design.Comment
