    Ricoh Aficio mp2550b

I have a ricoh aficio mp2550 copier. Trying to setup network scan and print. When I try it gives an error "you do not have privileges for this function" I have logged in as supervisor and blank password and I can log in and it lets me access admin account and I can change password for the admin user. But it still gives me the same error. "you do not have privileges for this function". I have done a factory reset and it does not help. Hold # and * for 10 seconds and it resets. I have tried clear memory also. Is there a way to reset?

Oddly enough, th administrator has NO RIGHTS to use the machine. Sounds weird, right?

    Log out and try again.

BTW... Holding down the * and # together is only a warm boot,no different than rebooting your PC from the start menu.

Also, don't even think about any kind of factory reset (which is in an entirely different area, anyway). It is a dead last resort, only to be tried after all else fails.

Try logging in as Admin, go to System Settings and make sure that the Administrator Management Authentication (might be called something different on the older machines) settings are turned off.
