Basic Authentication using NFC with Cheetah SOP V2

I have been trying to configure an MPC306Z SPF to authenticate using a NFC tag (I have Android O/S and SIM based NFC in my phone) but have not been able to get it to work. I am wondering if anybody has managed to do this?

I want to be able to log into the machine with NFC which will open customized icons & have scan 2 me as the priority function.

According to the card method once authentication is set up you swipe the card on the reader & then log in which assigns the card against the user. I am told that an NFC device can be used in the same way but seem to be missing something if it's in fact possible.

Device cert is set up, group share is on, admin and user authentication is on, a user has been setup with full privileges and can log in using the user name & password. Smart device connector is working (with it's limited buggy capability)...

You need to have NFC reader. Do you have one? NFC tag in cheetah is a used for storing device info using SDM. Not meant for authentication. If you have Bluetooth 4.0 in your mobile you can use that the batch authentication.

As far as I know, the NFC tag used with the SOP is not programmed to a specific machine. Ricoh just grabs one and throws in it with the other accessories for a machine. It has to be programmed to the machine. What I can remember is that it has to be initially done with an android device by scanning the QR Code then writing the information to the tag. There is documentation available but I cannot remember where it was that I found it. What the programming does is write the network access information for scanning and printing to the tag. If you program one in your office to your office network, keep that tag for use in your office and get another one to set up at the customer.
